The inspiration of this particular painting " Summer Berries ",  as  seen on the Internet is from an image of the original work by a Yukon Native artist Nathalie Parenteau , of Whitehorse, in the Yukon.

My version of this painting is changed from her original version somewhat ... as my application of color and detail is different.

I was quite drawn to this particular piece and wanted to paint it ...as I love the softness of the lines, the image of a mother and child gets in touch with the maternal instincts in me. The love for blue skies, red skies at night, and the idea of sitting in a field of berries , eating and communicating with one's child is something a Mother would cherish.

This project is for the Fireman's Museum in Kelowna. It is to raise money for the museum. All helmets will be auctioned off , starting bid to be at $200.00 Canadian Dollars.

These three views display the art work I've created on the fireman's helmet .

 Aboriginal Art is a common style of mine that I try to incorporate into several of my art paintings. I think my enjoyment of painting this style comes from being drawn to the spirituality of the symbols and the colors.

of Seven painter Lawren Harris .

My flair and style are certainly reflected in this particular art piece, in it's resemblance to his style .

As I lave color and free flowing images in my paintings ....the need for exploring and painting what I see and feel are of reflected into the work I create.

This original image was a depiction of Pic Island, in Lake Superior, Ontario, Canada.
