"Just a Country
Girl at Heart": I
was born on a farm in the B.C. Interior, a small, little
town / village called Winlaw in the Kootenays of
British Columbia.
At the young age
of 12 my interest in the Arts began.
A few private lessons with an Art Teacher was what was
barely affordable at the time and ...Portrait Painting
was what I then aspired to learn.
My Art Quest
continued into my
Junior and then
Senior High School years, when I
touched on Commercial Art...having had one of my
paintings displayed at the Local Public Library.
My Roots
seem
still to take me back to the Kootenays
again ... from time to time. |

After that, the
Paint Brush was laid down
...
not to touch my hands
again until last winter, here in Westbank, Kelowna. I
knew I must start my painting again, but very simply by
painting on found Stones and Rocks.
I
found enjoyment in tranquil walks
along the local river
beds and lakes, found some pretty
interesting rocks that I would enjoy starting out with
...and began my renewed Painting Adventures!
Winter was Long
and Cold and
without thinking much about it....the
paint brush hardly left my hand!!
My Lust for
Painting was
always there...I
just needed to get in touch with it again!!

After a period of time, I
decided to try Canvas Art and "Voila"...here I am! This
is what I enjoy painting on the most!!
Many of my inspirations
are acquired from other Artists Works...creating
changes within the works to suit who I am...what I am
feeling...and what I see.
Our personal interpretations
come from deep within ourselves
... making what is then created ...a Unique Piece
of Art ...unlike any other Art Creation ...but at times
& in some
ways, similar to the original artist's work. |
